OCTOPATH TRAVELER

Octopath traveler features HD-2D graphics with traditional turn-based combat with some novelty. This JRPG features excellent audio and interesting storylines and has a certain charm to it.  Here are some useful hints based on my experience of the game:-

 

• During battles, utilize the defend move often; this will come in handy in boss battles and in battles where an enemy or group of enemies can have multiple turns.

• You can generally ignore certain status ailments as well as debuffs, but it is better not to ignore the poison ailment, especially when you are poisoned for multiple turns.

​

• Grinding helps. Find the proper grinding spots at regular intervals, and also try to fight enemies above a few levels when you have a party of at least 2 members.

​

• Do not utilize your soulstones for regular enemies or bosses; keep them reserved for the rare encounters of enemies like Caits and Octopuffs.

 

• Always try to keep a healer in the active party.

 

• Certain jobs can heal and regain sp via their unique skillset, such as the Thief with the steal hp and the steal sp skill. Choose wisely when combining these jobs with other jobs.
