After the introduction, turn around and grab the item. The first weapon you get is solid; it has a parry move that works on some bosses. However, given that the gameplay requires dodging, I prefer the one-handed sword, which offers an excellent dodge by default. Grab all the items you see on the road to the first zone. You will find several NPCs here, along with a merchant whom you can trade valuables which enables him to offer you more inventory. The boss you will encounter first is not the actual first boss; you will fight the actual first boss in the next area. On the way, you will pick up another weapon, an Axe. It hits hard, but the block move it offers doesn’t really block much damage like a shield would, and since there are no shields in the game, dodging is required to avoid attacks. You will meet a friendly NPC character and a strange lady ahead on the way to the boss. As you enter the cave, you will find your first spell. I found this helpful throughout the entire game. After the first boss battle, go ahead and open the chest for an item that will provide you with additional healing item capacity. Explore, and you will eventually end up having two more weapons and some new armour, and you will meet another merchant in the game.
