wrc 10 vs wrc generations

If you played the previous games, WRC 8 or 9, you will recognize the changes in physics in WRC 10, and the same has been further improved in Generations. WRC 10 adds more weight to the cars, and compared to 8 and 9, the cars feel less snappy to drive. Especially while turning, one can feel the car having more weight and a bit slower compared to previous WRC games.

WRC Generations has better physics compared to WRC 10. Graphically, both are rather similar, with lighting differences and other little changes, and audio-wise, there are little changes in both games. One thing that stands out in the lighting in both games is that in WRC generations, the reflections have poor clarity and look odd. WRC 10 looks cleaner, and some cars, such as the Subaru Impreza, can sound different in both versions. While cars are heavier in both games, there is a clear difference when it comes to drifting, braking, and tire grip. In WRC Generations, the cars appear to have less grip, causing them to slide and drift easily; however, this also makes braking significantly more difficult due to the reduced overall grip. Cars also do not seem to stop down immediately once you let go of the throttle, and braking requires more attention as the cars do not slow down as fast as they do in WRC 10. WRC Generations offers a few more modes compared to WRC 10. When going from the road through the snow section, the car handling changes more in WRC Generations compared to WRC 10. However, there is a clear difference in car grip between going from tarmac to gravel in both WRC 10 and WRC generations. There is also a noticeable difference in some cars across generations compared to 10, where the cars are slower to start in 1st gear initially at the start, unless the player warms up the throttle first. Overall, both games are decent, with WRC Generations offering better physics and adding some more content.
